The short answer

What PPF Does

Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear, self-healing urethane film applied over your paint to absorb rock chips, scratches, and road debris. Tint Chattanooga installs PPF in four coverage levels, from partial front to full body, with precision-cut patterns and wrapped edges.

Stops Rock Chips

Takes the hit so your paint doesn't.

Self-Heals

Light swirls and scuffs disappear with sun or warm water.

Stays Invisible

High-gloss, optically clear film. No one knows it's there.

Resists Stains

Bug acid, bird droppings, and tree sap wipe off instead of etching.

Protects Value

Original, chip-free paint matters at trade-in.

Coverage advice

Why Full Front Beats Partial

Partial coverage leaves a visible line across the hood and fenders, and chips still land just behind it. Full front has no line on the hood and protects the whole impact zone. For most new vehicles it's the coverage we recommend.

Film Locks In Whatever's Underneath

That's why every PPF install starts with a full wash and decontamination. If the paint has swirls or scratches, we recommend paint correction first so the film seals in a flawless finish.

PPF Stops Impacts. Ceramic Makes It Shine.

PPF is physical armor. Ceramic coating is a slick, glossy layer that makes washing easy. Get PPF on the impact zones and ceramic over the entire vehicle, including on top of the film.

PPF FAQ

Questions? Good.

Still have a question? Text us at (423) 810-TINT.

How much does PPF cost in Chattanooga?

It depends on coverage and vehicle size. Partial front is the entry point; full front is the most popular. Text photos of your vehicle for an exact quote.

Does PPF really self-heal?

Yes. The topcoat re-flows with heat, so light swirls and scuffs disappear in the sun or with warm water. Deep impacts are absorbed by the film instead of your paint.

How long does PPF last?

Quality film professionally installed typically lasts about 10 years with normal care. We'll cover exact warranty terms at your quote.

Can you see PPF on the car?

Modern gloss film is nearly invisible. You might spot an edge up close, but from a few feet away it just looks like perfect paint.

Will PPF damage my paint when it's removed?

No. Professionally installed and removed film comes off factory paint cleanly.

How long does a PPF install take?

Front packages usually take 1–2 days, full body 3–5 days, including prep and cure. [confirm]

Can I wash my car after PPF?

Wait about a week before the first wash. Then hand-wash normally; avoid pressure-washing the edges up close.

Is PPF worth it on a leased or used car?

Yes, for leases it can help avoid excess-wear charges on the front end. On used cars, correct the paint first so the film protects a clean finish.
